The economical solution to your serving needs
Piper’s Design Basics Cafeteria Equipment is an economical solution to your serving needs. The simple design keeps material costs low, and the knock-down construction helps lower shipping costs. They are available as steam tables, ice pans, or solid tops, in 2-pan through 5-pan lengths. Standard features include all-stainless construction, 6” stainless steel adjustable legs, individual drain valves per well, and a poly-cutting board. Each steam well is powered by a 750 watt element, is infinite controlled, and can run wet or dry.
Design Basics is perfect for your back-of-house or tray make-up stations, as well as smaller meal service operations. And it won’t break the bank while providing dependable service for years to come.

Mobile or Stationary Steam Tables
DME Series Mobile Steam Tables from Piper are perfect for operations where meals are served at a distance from the kitchen. Standard features include a stainless steel cutting board and manifold drains. Two 5” diameter rigid casters and two swivel casters with brakes enhance mobility. A full-perimeter bumper is available to protect your surroundings as you roll through the halls, and a convenient push handle is standard for easy maneuvering.
Three, Four and Five-well models are offered. Each well uses an infinite-controlled 1000-watt element for quick heat-up times and consistent temperatures. A Heat-in-Base option is available for greater capacity, with built-in stainless steel racks to hold additional steam pans. All units are available in 208V and 240V variations, in single or three phase. DME-3-PTS, DME-3-PTSH and DME-4-PTS without heated base are available as 120V.
